Pipe Bursting

The Problem

Aging and undersized sewer pipes in our communities are failing at an alarming rate.

Ted Berry Company provides pipe bursting which is a well-established method that is used to replace an existing pipe in place with a new pipe that has the same or larger diameter. Pipe bursting is a trenchless pipe replacement method reducing excavation by as much as 95%.

City of Saco, Maine recently hired the Ted Berry company to replace approximately 1,000’ of 10” VCP sewer that ran remotely through an easement between two city streets. A new 10” HDPE pipe was installed and total excavation reduced by 95%.
