Pipeline Pigging

The Problem

As municipal water mains age and deteriorate they fail causing loss of service and property damage, they lose hydraulic capacity due to mineral buildup inside the pipe causing poor flows and reduced fire protection, and result in poor water quality.

Solution

Ted Berry Company performs progressive poly pigging which is a non-destructive pipe cleaning method which removes buildup of  material inside the pipe, thus restoring its design capacity and improving water quality.

Results

The Farmington Village Water District recently hired the Ted Berry Company to clean an 8” water main to remove material that was impacting water quality and pressures. The cleaning was performed between two existing hydrants and removed the organic material from inside the pipe.
